And the Game of the Year goes to…

Yesterday was all glitz and glamour as one of the biggest gaming awards of the year took place in London. The annual award ceremony saw more than 800 men and women dressed to the nines hoping to take home a coveted EGR award.

On October 26, the colourful online slot Wild Toro took home the illustrious Game of the Year award in the EGR Operator Awards Ceremony. Situated above the central railway station in Stockholm, the relatively small provider Elk Studios walked away the winners of what was possibly one of the greatest awards of the night. Elk Studios is a true champion of strategic game play and since 2012 they have pushed the boundaries of mobile slots, creating a great mix of both high and low volatility games.

We reached out to our friends at Elk Studios to congratulate them and ask them how it felt to know that their game, released in November 2016, had won the coveted prize. Fredrik Brannlund, the Manager of Business Development for Elk Studios shared his feelings on the amazing win with us.

Fredrik is still in the process of letting the win sink in on the London morning after the Award Ceremony.

The Game of the Year, Wild Toro, is a four row, five-reel slot and offers 178 paylines, based on the heroic bull El Toro and his rivalry with the matador Diaz Jr. Offering more than just its colourful Spanish theme the game has both free spins, a re-spin feature and the special Toro Goes Wild feature. Give it a spin now to celebrate Wild Toro’s big win.
