The rules of Blackjack are remarkably simple; for each box you play (by placing an initial wager) you will be dealt two cards versus the dealer’s two cards and whichever hand is the closest to or exactly 21 will be the winner. You can draw cards to increase your total but, beware; going over 21 means you are bust and will lose your wager. The sum of cards is determined by simply adding the two face values together (picture cards count as ten and an ace counts as one or eleven).
Besting the dealer with a higher total pays even money on your wager, while a draw is called a ‘push’ and your bet remains active for the next hand dealt. Being dealt an Ace and a picture card/ten is called ‘Blackjack’, and this will be immediately paid out at odds of 3:2 upon being dealt it.
